Frequently Asked Questions
Samaritan Medical Center would like to answer many of the questions we are asked each day. If your answer is not here – use our Contact Us page and ask us. We will try to respond as soon as we can. Thank you!
How do I find a doctor?
Please use our Find A Physician tool to locate a doctor in a certain specialty or location, or even by the certain services and procedures we provide.
What if I don’t know which type of doctor I need?
Samaritan would suggest that all patients have a Primary Care provider. This doctor will be a patient’s main doctor and refer them to other specialty care if needed. To find a Primary Care doctor, please use our Find A Physician tool.
There is an issue with my bill. Who do I contact?
Please contact our Patient Accounting Department at 315-786-4900.
Why is it taking so long to receive my bill?
Samaritan Health does not bill a patient until we have exhausted all means of obtaining payment from your health insurance carrier. At times, we receive partial payments or denials that we feel are incorrect, so we dispute the decision for your benefit. The process of filing an appeal can result in a delay in billing you your portion of the bill.
What are your other locations?
Please see our Community Locations page to show you all the locations Samaritan has.
How do I find a Samaritan Location?
Please visit our Getting to Samaritan page. Once you are in a facility, there are signs you can use, or you can ask any hospital staff member to help you.
Is there a Financial Assistance Program to help me with my hospital bills?
Samaritan does have a Financial Assistance Program that is available to patients that have tried other sources to help them with their bills, such as Medicaid and Medicare.
I want to speak with someone about the care I received while at Samaritan.
We encourage you to call our Patient Relations Department at 315-785-4679.
