Financial Information

Samaritan Medical Center is committed to helping our patients understand the complex billing process – it also depends on the patient to understand the coverage provided by their own insurance plans. Please make sure all arrangements for payment of your medical bill are made prior to your visit to one of our locations and plan to pay the amount of your co-payment or deductible when you register for service or admission.

Because each health insurance plan is different, we encourage you to know and understand your plan’s specific benefits. If you have any questions about the co-payment or deductible that is due at the time of service, we encourage you to contact your insurance company directly. Most insurance cards provide a phone number to call for questions and information. Click here to view the insurance companies that Samaritan currently partners with. Please contact your health insurance company directly to determine if your plan is included. Please note that Hospital-employed physicians participate with the same insurances as the hospital.

Samaritan Physicians’ Contact Information

If your care requires anesthesia, radiology or other physician services, you will receive a separate bill for the providers of these services (i.e., Northern Radiology Associates, Jefferson Anesthesiologist Services, North Country Emergency Medical Consultants, etc.). These are private physician practices and are not employed by Samaritan. All Samaritan practices employ our own physicians and providers and patient bills will come from Samaritan directly. Below is a partial listing of the main private providers that you may receive a separate bill from if you receive services at the hospital.

Please click here to find a physician’s contact information for all physicians on our Medical Staff, private and employed.

Hospital Prices

To receive an estimated average price for services at Samaritan, you can contact a patient account representative at 315-786-4900 or send an email inquiry to [email protected]. To better assist you, you may be asked to provide a procedure code which can be obtained from the doctor ordering the services. The amount you owe depends on your insurance plan. You should contact your insurance company directly to determine your obligation.

Samaritan’s pricing for COVID-19 related testing is $72.00 for CPT code U0001; $103.00 for CPT code U0002; and $170.00 for CPT code U0003.

Please view Samaritan Medical Center’s Hospital Price Index to see costs of certain charges you may incur as a patient.

This information is required for us to share by the federal government and only includes costs from commercial insurance plans.  It is intended to provide transparency in Samaritan’s pricing structure in an overall view. If you have questions about this listing please contact a Patient Account Representative at 315-786-4900 or send an email inquiry to [email protected].

These charges are not meant as a quote or guarantee of actual charges, and do not account for variables such as a patient’s medical condition, length of stay, health insurance or charges from ancillary providers who contribute to a patient’s care during their hospital stay. Please contact your insurer to obtain a more accurate and customized out-of-pocket estimate that reflects your benefits, deductible, and copayments and to verify whether Samaritan is in-network or out-of-network.
