Ongoing Programs
Explore some of Samaritan’s ongoing programs and find a date that works with your schedule to participate. Some programs are offered monthly, and others are offered multiple times in a year. These programs provide education, support, and socialization for community members.
We encourage you to get involved in the programming offered at Samaritan!

Brain Injury Support Group
This group provides monthly social support for those recovering from a stroke, traumatic brain injury, brain tumor or other condition causing difficulty with cognition or communication. It is a chance to share experiences, challenges, and resources.
American Heart Association Classes
Samaritan Medical Center offers a variety of Life Support training programs presented according to American Heart Association guidelines. This includes Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Life Support and Instructor Training.
Prepared Childbirth Classes
The Car-Freshner Center of Women and Children at Samaritan welcomes expectant mothers to learn all the important details about pregnancy, birth and care after the baby is born. This free series is offered every month for moms-to-be and their partners.
CNA and HHA Training Programs
Samaritan is looking for compassionate, caring and dedicated individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA). These are paid courses that require three weeks of training.
Watertown Caregiver Support Group
Do you care for someone with dementia? Consider joining the Watertown Caregiver Support Group on the fourth Tuesday of every month. This group, presented by the Alzheimer’s Association, will meet from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at Samaritan Summit Village.
Job Shadowing/Youth Opportunities
Samaritan is happy to host students as they explore career paths in healthcare. Through the Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization, students can tour as a school group through Scrub Club, or as an individual via job shadowing.
