Anesthesiology – Private Practice

Jefferson Anesthesiologists Service (JAS) has two openings to join an excellent team. There is an exclusive agreement for services between JAS and Samaritan Medical Center. Cardiology (Non-invasive)

For the purpose of succession planning, we are seeking two Cardiologists to replace our retiring physicians. With more than 40 years of providing excellent service to our community, they will be leaving a well-established patient panel. A modernized office is less than a mile from the hospital with 7 exam rooms and onsite cardiac testing. Midlevel and robust Hospitalist team support. High volume of heart failures, atrial fibrillation, stem cell placement, pacemaker/ICD management. Teaching opportunities are available. Emergency Medicine

Family Medicine & Internal Medicine

Medical Dermatology

Opportunity to join a strong physician-led Medical Dermatology team including a Board-Certified Dermatologist/Mohs Surgeon, six experienced dermatology mid-levels and an experienced support staff. This is a replacement for a very busy departing Dermatologist with a ready-made practice panel. OB/GYN

Samaritan is looking to increase its team of Obstetrics and Gynecology Physicians. You would be joining the new Car-Freshner Center for Women and Children, opened in 2019, which features labor and delivery, mother-baby, NICU, and pediatric units. The center boasts 21 private mother-baby rooms and eight surgical suites. Surgeons trained on the new DaVinci XI can integrate robotic-assisted procedures. Samaritan is the leading hospital for expectant families from the nearby military installation, Fort Drum, home of the 10th Mountain Division. Samaritan is also the area’s only Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, providing the highest level of care for a newborn in Northern New York. Orthopaedic Surgery

Psychiatry (Inpatient and Outpatient)

Samaritan has opportunities for Adult Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatrists. We have an outpatient clinic with seasoned professionals with extensive longevity to include: 3 BC Psychiatrists, Licensed Practical Nurses, 14 clinicians (LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, Psy D). Approximately 2,300 clients served annually with an average of 1,600 appointments monthly. Samaritan also has a newly expanded adult Inpatient Mental Health Unit, with 39 beds and 5 private rooms, a group space, and a recreational space. This unit is located on the main hospital campus. Behavioral health services include inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, intensive outpatient addition services and alcohol and substance abuse treatment.
