The BLS for Healthcare Provider course is designed to teach the skills of high-quality CPR, airway management and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for victims of all ages. It is intended for participants who work in a healthcare setting and those who are required to take a healthcare provider course for employment or as a pre-requisite for school.

*Participants must reserve their seat in class with a deposit, which will be refunded upon attending the class. The deposit is not transferable to another class without prior approval and will be forfeited in the case of failure to attend without advance notification. Samaritan staff participants must pay a deposit of $15. Non-employee participants must pay $55 at the time of registration.

All Provider Courses are held in Conference Room 2C on 2nd Floor Pratt 6:00-9:30pm

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Fees charged for such course do not represent income for the AHA.

If you have registered but find you are unable to attend class for any reason, please notify the Training Center at (315)785-4152 as soon as possible. These classes are in high demand and often have a cancelation list. For Samaritan staff participants, an administrative fee of $35 for instructor courses will be charged for failure to attend without notification. For non-employee participants, the cost for the course is $110, to be collected at the time of registration.

If you require further information, please call SMC Education Services at (315) 785-4152 or email the Training Center Coordinator at [email protected].
