Tuition Assistance
Full-time employees are eligible to participate after six months of employment and may be reimbursed up to $3,000 annually; part-time employees are eligible to participate after one year of service and may be reimbursed up to $1,500 annually. If you are currently enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education, you may be eligible for tuition assistance.
To participate, please complete the tuition reimbursement approval form PRIOR TO course enrollment. Pre-approvals will provide HR with the information needed to verify and confirm your eligibility for participation, institution accreditation and that the course of study is consistent with policy guidelines. The HR department will send you notification that your pre-approval request was granted.
To obtain reimbursement, please provide HR with evidence of satisfactory completion (grade c or better) and a copy of your paid receipt. Reminder: Pre-approved requests are required to obtain reimbursement.

Hot Jobs Tuition Reimbursement
Are you interested in pursuing a healthcare career? According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, healthcare is one of the fastest-growing sources for new wage and salary jobs, largely in response to the rapid growth in the elderly population.
The Hot Jobs Tuition Reimbursement program is specific to individuals pursuing a degree in a “Hot Job” category; currently identified as
- Registered Nurses
- Central Sterile Technologists (Surgery)
- Certified Nursing Assistants
- Medical Technologists
- Laboratory Technicians
- Physical or Occupational Therapists
- Surgical Technologists
Considering a career in healthcare today will help you secure a GREAT future for tomorrow. Full-time and part-time employees are eligible to participate after successfully completing 90 days of employment and eligible for up to $2,000 per semester to cover the cost of tuition fees and books. To Participate
Employees interested in the “Hot Jobs” program, should contact Human Resources to learn more, and complete the Hot Jobs Application form. All requests for participation will be reviewed and applicants will be notified in writing when the application is approved.
Program Guidelines
Participates must be enrolled at least ½ time in their program of study, annually work 300 hours at Samaritan while enrolled, maintain a 2.0 GPA and commit to working for Samaritan after graduation one consecutive year (2080 paid hours) for every two semesters reimbursed.
Reimbursement
Participants enrolled in Hot Jobs will receive financial reimbursement at the start of each semester enrolled.
