While prescription drugs are a necessity for people, many homes have medicine cabinets full of prescriptions that are expired or no longer used. They can be a danger to people – especially children – and the environment, if they are not properly disposed.
Staff from the SMC Pharmacy and Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies will be collecting old or unused medications in the SMC Main Lobby to ensure they are appropriately disposed of.
Please spread the word about this important event to your patients, family members and friends. The event is free and open to the public.
