Certified Lactation Counselor Class

Samaritan Medical Center will be hosting a Certified Lactation Counselor class from July 22-26, 2019. Classes will be held from 8:15am – 4:30pm in SMC Conference Rooms 2A & 2B each day.

No pre-requisites needed! This class is 45 credit hours toward a higher certification of International Board Certified Lactation Consultant® (IBCLC). A certification test will be offered at the end of the program on Friday.* When passed, you will be certified for three years as a CLC!

$525 per person (4 or more people from the same agency)

Samaritan offers an incentive each year for a Registered Nurse to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant® (IBCLC). We encourage interested participants to ask their employer for payment assistance or incentives for this course since it is a unique and important credential.

There is a supplemental textbook you can buy from the Healthy Children Project, or Amazon.com.

Please note that you must bring your own lunch each day, or it can be purchased in the hospital cafeteria.
