Troy Rowe Patient Testimonial
In early December 2025, Troy Rowe came to Samaritan’s Emergency Department in extreme pain. It was quickly determined that he was experiencing intestinal bleeding, and he had been for four days.
“It was like black blood just pouring out of me,” he said.
His concerns – and his pain – were put at ease by the staff in the Emergency Department.
“I was blown away,” he said. “They took great care of me, they were on top of everything, they even switched up my bed for me. I was so comfortable there.”
Once Troy stabilized, he moved to the Medical-Surgical Unit, where he was again blown away by the quality of care.
“I went to the fourth floor and that was 100% too, right from the get-go,” he said. “I never had to wait for anything, not even my antibiotics. They were ready and waiting for me before I even got there. And people were constantly checking up on me, making sure I was doing okay. Even the cleaning lady! It was impressive. I told her she should pat herself on the back.”
Troy says all of the caregivers at Samaritan were exceptional, and points to one registered nurse, Ashley Netto, who made an impression during his experience.
“I’ve never seen anybody like her. She was extremely good and she didn’t miss a beat,” Troy said. “Everything was top notch, everyone was extremely smart. It was the best experience I’ve ever had.”
After a few days in the Medical-Surgical Unit, Troy’s bleeding was resolved. He now manages the intestinal issue with medication and checkups, adding to his regular care at Samaritan.
“I go to pulmonology, dermatology, and rheumatology,” he said. “It’s all connected at Samaritan, and it’s all top notch. The doctors are professionals; they know what they are doing. You won’t find better.”
Now that he is feeling better, Troy enjoys spending time with his pitbull, Lady, and looking after his mother. He says he highly recommends Samaritan and will continue receiving his care here.
