A Cinderella tea party to benefit children’s miracle network
WATERTOWN, NY – A Cinderella Tea Party is coming to town this April – and you won’t want to miss this special event! Children of all ages are invited to attend a magical afternoon hosted by Rhonda’s FooteWorks to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at Samaritan Medical Center.
The tea party will be held Saturday, April 1st from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall at the First Presbyterian Church, 403 Washington Street, Watertown. Hosted by Alex Hazard from ABC 50, the event will include tea and desserts, live auctions, a preview of the Cinderella Ballet, and photo opportunities with Cinderella and other characters.
The Cinderella Tea Party is being organized by Rhonda Foote, owner of Rhonda’s FooteWorks. Rhonda’s daughter, Madi Draper, was the 2008 Children’s Miracle Network New York State Ambassador for the Champions Across America Program. Madi was born with severe congenital scoliosis, a radically curving spine that grows in a spiral. Today, she is a student at Jefferson Community College and a dance teacher at Rhonda’s FooteWorks. Over the years, Children’s Miracle Network at Samaritan helped Madi and her family with thousands of dollars in travel expenses incurred during her treatment at hospitals throughout the country. Together Rhonda and Madi, along with the help of their dancers are now giving back to Children’s Miracle Network in hopes of helping other children throughout Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties.
Tickets for the event are $20 per couple (1 adult and 1 child) and can be purchased at the door or in advance at Rhonda’s FooteWorks, Bruce Wright Conference Center or the Children’s Miracle Network Office, Samaritan Medical Center.
