Welcome to Star Lake, New York – Home of Clifton-Fine Hospital!
Star Lake is located in northern New York State within the six million acre Adirondack Park. There are few places where individuals and families can experience such a comfortable and relaxed lifestyle at such a low cost of living. Quality schools, community spirit, natural beauty, a sense of history and traditional small town values make our region an outstanding place to work, live, play and raise a family. In addition, there’s simply no other place in the country like the Adirondack Mountains. With hundreds of pristine lakes and thousands of acres of pine forest, the Adirondacks offer endless opportunities for adventure or contemplation all year long. Hiking, climbing, camping, fishing, hunting, canoeing, swimming, biking, skiing and snowmobiling are just a few of the activities you can enjoy.
The hamlet of Star Lake is located on Route 3, one hour east of Watertown, one hour from Lake Placid, and two hours from Syracuse and Ottawa, Canada. Many of our residents live here year round, while others come to Star Lake on vacations, weekends or “for the summer” to visit their vacation cottages, some of which are well over 100 years old and built in the true Adirondack camp fashion. The opportunities to become an active part of the community are varied and plentiful – you’ll find that everyone is welcome!
