Thank you for a successful Festival of Trees 2015

A North Country Festival of Trees Committee extends heartfelt appreciation to all who rendered support during this event.  Our thanks go out to sponsors, decorators, volunteers, performers, tree purchasers and attendees to A North Country Festival of Trees. It is your support which makes us successful in providing quality children's services to residents and visitors to Northern New York both at Samaritan Medical Center and the Watertown YMCA.

This unique festival highlights the spirit of the season with activities throughout the first weekend in December for the entire family. A Gala, featuring a live auction, dinner, and music takes place on Friday evening, followed by the Sugarplum Ball (father/daughter dance) on Saturday Evening and public viewing all three days. This year’s theme is “Christmas At The North Pole” and will feature over 50 trees decorated to create a magically festive setting, along with musical performances.

The North Country Festival of Tree is a joint event held by the Watertown Family YMCA and the Samaritan Medical Center Foundation. 


The Watertown Family YMCA has been a part of the Watertown community since 1855. Through quality programs, the YMCA provides for the strengthening of families, the healthy development of children, positive individual behaviors, and a healthy, safer community for all. Children’s programs emphasize caring, respect, honesty, character building, fun and friendship. Over 5,000 children are served each year throughout Jefferson County. From swimming lessons and sports programs, to activities for teens and childcare - programs are open to everyone, creating a sense of community for children and families. The Samaritan Medical Center Foundation was established in 1996 to encourage gifts that support and advance healthcare provided by Samaritan Medical Center and to increase the public’s awareness of and participation in health and wellness programs. Funds raised by the Festival of Trees will be used to establish and maintain quality pediatric healthcare services and programs at Samaritan Medical Center. For more information about the Samaritan Medical Center Foundation call 315-785-5745.

Children's Miracle Network Events

Teens for Miracles Fashion Show presented by A Touch of Grace

March 6, 2016 at the Bruce M. Wright Conference Center in Watertown.

A Touch of Grace will once again host its popular annual fashion show to benefit Children’s Miracle Network each year. This past year, the fashion show will feature not only the latest styles in prom dresses and tuxes, but also in bridal fashion, Sugar Plum ball styles for little girls, and other formal wear occasions. We ask for a $10 donation per guest to watch the fashion show.  All proceeds benefit Children’s Miracle Network of NNY.

Radiothon 2015

November 4 - 6, 2015

Radiothon will be held November 4, 5 and 6 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. It will air on the Border 106.7 and 94 Rock hosted by DJs Johnny Spezzano and Lance Hale. The Radiothon will feature stories of local children who have benefitted from the Children’s Miracle Network program at Samaritan Medical Center. The Children’s Miracle Network Happy Kids Smiling Faces Contest, presented by Creative Imaging Fine Photography, is an exciting annual event that raises much needed dollars for our local children and families. Celebrating happy children, the photo contest is open to children ages 12 and under for an entrance fee of $15, and offers parents an opportunity to have their child’s photo taken at a low cost. Photo times are October 16, from 2 - 6 pm, October 17 from 11 am - 5 pm and October 18 from 11 am - 4 pm. All photos are taken by Creative Imaging Fine Photography at the Salmon Run Mall Center Court.

Following photo choice and posting, online voting will be available November 2 through 6 for friends and family to choose their favorite contestant! After competitive voting, the top three contestants will be announced at a ceremony where cash prizes will be awarded. At this time, all families will be able to pick up their FREE 5 x 7 photo as well as any additional photos ordered. All event reservations or tickets purchases on the Samaritan Medical Center website will be considered for a refund based on our Refund Policy i.e. All requests must be made one week prior to the event. In the event a refund is due, a credit will be issued to the card used for purchase.
