Interventional Radiology

Samaritan Medical Center is pleased to offer the northern New York and Fort Drum community a very specialized imaging service - Interventional Radiology. This service utilizes minimally-invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat diseases in nearly every organ system. The concept behind Interventional Radiology is to diagnose and treat patients using the least invasive techniques currently available in order to minimize risk to the patient and improve health outcomes.

Samaritan's own Dr. Moonjohn Kim is American Board Certified in Radiology with fellowship trained in Interventional Radiology and has a CAO (Certificate of Additional Qualification), and is a member of the Society for Interventional Radiology.
