One Night - One Diamond Event
Saturday, April 1, 2017
The Samaritan Auxiliary presents One Night, One Diamond, an elegant evening of dining and dancing to the band Atlas
with an opportunity to win an exquisite half-carat diamond donated by Cook's Jewelers.
Proceeds from this event are used to purchase needed medical equipment for Samaritan Health facilities.
This year Samaritan Auxiliary is focusing it’s fundraising efforts on purchasing a state of the art Olympus 360º radial linear, extra-slim mini probe
for image guided cancer detection that can go deeper into the lungs to detect lung cancer.
The second item to be purchased is an Altrix Precision Temperature Management System that provides body warming and cooling
to treat hypothermia, or in the case of hyperthermia to reduce fevers and the potential for associated seizures,
organ failure, an altered level of consciousness, and also in patients with hypoxic brain injuries.
With the rise locally in drug overdoses, the need for this equipment is even more critical at this time.
The 2016 One Night, One Diamond proceeds purchased Infant Warmer Tables for newborns at Samaritan Medical Center.
