Anesthesiology – Private Practice

Jefferson Anesthesiologists Service (JAS) has two openings to join an excellent team. There is an exclusive agreement for services between JAS and Samaritan Medical Center (290-bed facility). Direct employment with JAS, partnership track available. Call 1:7, supervision of 11 CRNAs. Medical Staff over 180 physicians representing 42 specialties. Average annual surgeries: 6650, obstetric epidurals: 900, cesarean sections: 450. No neurosurgery or open heart services. No requirement for pain management clinic. Medical Dermatology – Hospital Employed

Hospital employed Medical Dermatology opportunity to join a strong physician-led team including a Board-Certified Dermatologist/Mohs Surgeon, four experienced dermatology mid-levels and an experienced support staff. This is a replacement for a very busy departing Dermatologist with a ready-made practice panel. This practice has newly developed office space with large exam/procedure rooms, photodynamic therapy, and injectable cosmetics. Teaching opportunities with accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine & Internal Medicine. American Board of Dermatology certification required, or actively in process. Otolaryngology (ENT) — Hospital Employed

Join three Otolaryngologists in a hospital employed practice. Offices are located on hospital campus and close to OR Suites. Adult as well as a significant number of pediatric patients provide for a busy practice. Hospitalists are available for adult patient admissions. A stable primary care network provides a strong referral base. Board certification is required or one must be actively in process to obtain board certification. A surgeon interested in practicing a spectrum of general ENT services would be a very good fit. This is a salaried position with WRVU model offered. Call is 1:4. Family Medicine & Internal Medicine – Hospital Employed

Hospital employed opportunities for board certified (or actively in process) Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians. This is a National Health Services Corp (NHSC) certified opportunity. Exclusive outpatient opportunity. PA and NP support. Prenatal care for Family Medicine is optional. A base salary with WRVU compensation, educational loan repayment program, signing bonus and paid relocation are included in the recruitment package. Family Medicine OR Internal Medicine – Outpatient Private Practice

Join a group of four primary care physicians (and several APPs). This is an optional partnership track opportunity. It is a long-standing private practice setting located in the heart of downtown Watertown and has been organized as an exclusive outpatient model. There is a large panel of patients with a significant geriatric mix having great loyalty to the practice. Family Medicine – Outpatient Private Practice

This is an exclusive outpatient Family Medicine opportunity with a long standing established private practice. This practice provides patient centered medical care to a well-balanced family medicine population. A full spectrum of care from newborn to geriatric is delivered. No obstetrics. Medical Oncology

Samaritan Medical is building upon services at the newly opened Walker Center for Cancer Care and is affiliated with Roswell Park Care Network. Board certification or actively in process is required. As an employee of Roswell Park Care Network, candidate physician will join two other medical oncologists, two advanced practice professionals and benefit from the partnership of a radiation oncologist, an oncologic interventional radiologist, a nurse navigation program, and a wide array of other professional support staff. A full spectrum of services with well-equipped advanced technology will identify the Center as a leader in cancer care. Ophthalmology – Private Practice

Succession planning for ophthalmology private practice is underway. Orthopaedic Surgery

Watertown, NY – Samaritan Medical Center seeks Orthopedic Surgeon to provide direct outpatient and inpatient orthopedic care and perform orthopedic surgeries. Provide after hours care to emergency orthopedic patients. Pulmonary and Critical Care – Hospital Employed

Opportunity to join a well-established group of board certified pulmonary/critical care physicians. Exclusive subspecialty focused. Physicians rotate call and coverage for the 10-bed ICU on a weekly basis. A convenient 5-minute commute between office and hospital. There is opportunity for collegial collaboration with a Thoracic Surgeon in same office. Hospital provides video navigational ultrasound bronchoscopy technology with in room cytopathology, and cardiopulmonary stress lab services. Monarch robotic bronchoscopy was launched in Spring 2020. A long-standing successful lung cancer screening program is in place. A dedicated cancer center, The Walker Center for Cancer Care, opened in the Fall 2018. An active Cancer Committee involves many physicians and currently is focusing on certification with the Commission on Cancer. Rheumatology

Hospital employed Rheumatology opportunity to join a practice with two other board certified Rheumatologists. This is an exclusive Rheumatology practice with occasional inpatient consulting. Samaritan has a medical staff greater than 190 physicians offering a solid referral base and there is a great need for Rheumatology. Newly renovated modern office within walking distance to the hospital. Teaching opportunities with accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residency program. Thoracic Surgery – Hospital Employed

For purpose of succession planning, Samaritan Medical Center seeks a Thoracic Surgeon to replace a solo surgeon who will phase out practice to full retirement. This is a non-cardiac position and will focus on chest surgery. Board certification in Thoracic Surgery is required. Five to ten years of experience is ideal. Minimally invasive surgical skills are valuable. Use of video-assisted thoracic surgery and surgery supported by the Xi daVinci Robot is available to the surgeon candidate. A well-established lung cancer screening program is in place. A newly constructed building housing the Walker Center for Cancer Care opened in the Fall of 2018 and is affiliated with Roswell Park Care Network. There is a vibrant multi-disciplinary Tumor Board that meets biweekly. Solid referral base is well established. Urology – Hospital Employed

Samaritan has opportunities for a General Urologist; also there are opportunities for Urologists with interest in advanced laparoscopy, andrology, oncology and/or robotic surgery. Board certification is required (or actively in process). A convenient office with in-office surgical suite is located within a 5-minute drive to the hospital main campus. Call is 1:4. There is a well-developed robotic program since 2012, and a recent upgrade in 2019 to daVinci Xi with integrated table motion technology.
