Ways to Support Samaritan Gifts from friends, family and neighbors help to make important advancements at Samaritan possible. They allow us to purchase state-of-the-art technology, improve services and build facilities needed to house new specialties. When you invest in Samaritan, you are investing in the health of our community for generations to come! Gifts of all sizes help to make our hospital stronger. Each donation is precious to us, and every donor is priceless. There are many ways to support the crucial work at Samaritan Medical Center. Below are just a few suggestions: Heart to Heart The Samaritan Foundation's Grateful Patient/ Family and Friends Program
Make a gift in honor of a Samaritan caregiver - perhaps someone who went the extra mile to care for you or a loved one - through the Foundation's Heart to Heart program. The designated caregiver will receive special recognition, while donations from this program will help ensure that future patients continue to receive the same level of compassionate, high quality care. Your company or your former company (if you are retired), may have a gift matching program. You may be able to double your contribution if it does. Please contact your human resources department to inquire. Planned Giving Giving to the Samaritan Foundation through your Will is one of the simplest ways to make a gift of any size that can help you avoid excessive taxes on your estate and will benefit healthcare in our community for generations to come. Making a bequest is straightforward and easily executed with your attorney. You may name the Samaritan Foundation as a beneficiary in your Will in a number of simple ways: If your gift is to be made in cash, you may designate a dollar amount for the Foundation or you can specify a percentage of your estate. The latter choice provides a guard against inflation and unforeseen shrinkage while assuring that your heirs receive their proportionate share of the estate.
You may name the Samaritan Foundation as the remainder beneficiary of your estate. The Foundation would receive the amount left over after specific sums have been paid to individual beneficiaries. You may make a contingent bequest by naming the Samaritan Foundation to receive certain assets only if a named individual, such as a spouse, doesn’t survive you. This is a way of putting a loved one’s security first. You can specify a non-cash gift of securities, real estate or tangible personal property, such as art or antiques. We would appreciate the opportunity to welcome you into the Stevens Society which was established to recognize individuals who have made planned gifts to the Samaritan Foundation. Please contact the Samaritan Foundation office with any questions and/or to let us know of your plans.
